An oil receiver is required to ensure availability of a safety stock of oil as oil quantities change due to varying loads and defrosting periods. Oil levels can be monitored via a sight glass fitted to the unit. Pressure drops within the system can be minimised by fitting of a pressure relief valve to the device.
